Darla Lathrem You Will Be Missed

Officer Darla Lathrem Florida Department of Corrections, Florida Officer Lathrem was murdered on June 11, 2003. Officer Lathrem was supervising five inmates on a construction detail inside the Facility, she was attacked by three of the five inmates as they attempted to escape. Officer Lathrem is the first female in the Florida Department of Corrections to be slain in the line of duty. She is survived by her parents and three sisters.
